Meet The Showjumpers

Fanta

Fanta is a KWPN mare who was hand picked by Claire as an unbroken 4 year old.

Chosen for her suitability to the sport all from her breeding and a loose jumping video.

Broken and produced by Claire as a 4/5 year old. The ride on Fanta was then passed over to Emma Sargeant as a 6 year old to continue Fantas process.

This combination has gone from strength to strength and have achievements to numerous to mention.

She is now competing at 1.35 level and is now a Grade B at 9 years old.

Continued success on the county show circuit and last year won the Grand Prix at Scope Showjumping Festival.

She is a horse CnG are extremely proud of to have sourced and produced from scratch.

On top of her success she is the most beautiful and very affectionate mare but also lives and breathes the sport.

Frenchie

Our amazing french bred young horse who was sourced by Claire as a 4 year old (now 5) . Based at Emma’s yard to continue to be produced. This mare is unbelievable and has already exceeded all of our expectations. She has the temperament of an angel.

There is nothing that this horse doesn’t take in her stride and she is has achieved so much already. Including, 6th in the blue chip finals, 6th in the 5 year old championships. Qualified Discovery finals 2018. Double clears at Newcomers.

Her CV is extremely impressive and we are so excited for her future.

Reggie

“Just Reggie“

Our Reggie was the first showjumper to be born and bred at CnG. Our of a fabulous mare, Emma is his mother who has competed up to 1.30 level when an injury cut her career short hence the arrival of Reggie. His sire was an older stallion who had competed up to 1.60 level and competed on the nations cups team. Born on Father’s Day and named Reggie after Gail’s father his journey began.

Backed as a late 4 year old he has competed this year BS. He has jumped numerous clear rounds and has a few wins under his belt. He is the most handsome horse and is by far the quietest of the showjumpers to ride. He also is the only one out of the team who has been XC and he was a star.

Rick

Rick belongs to Kyle Davies. He was sourced by Claire for her son Kyle to compete and enjoy. He is by the famous Whitaker’s stallion Randi.

Rick was previously owned by a lady who competed him in military competitions and since coming to us has done purely British Showjumping. He has won numerous classes with Kyle and qualified the Scope Showjumping festival 2018.

He is based at CnG and is a much loved family horse. He is kind and gentle and is a favourite with all the younger generation CnG children who like to sit on him in the stable.

Sandie

Sandie is Claire’s pride and joy. Another well bred showjumper by “ Another Darco “ based at CnG who was bought by Claire for her own person use. She is solely competed by Claire unless her son Kyle on the odd occasion steels the ride.

A very successful combination who is regularly in the placings. A quick and careful mare with plenty jump. Her wins are too vast to mention and she is now Grade B. A firm favourite on the yard with all family and staff.

Claire never goes to a show without Sandie !!

Gloria

Gloria is one of Claire’s own Showjumping mares. Based at CnG and competed only by Claire. She has super breeding Concorde/Carentino. Gloria is the one who you have to know to love. She appears a “ moody “ mare and not so straight forward to ride but actually she’s a loving mare and one who Claire trusts completely when they are in the ring. It’s all about the bond and partnership.

Gloria has a huge amount of scope and is very impressive to watch. She is probably one of the most consistent clear round jumpers. Known to Gail as “ sweet pea “ and the kids as “ Glor Glor “ she is part of the furniture and continues to bring success in the Showjumping arena.
